My Genesis 45 Testimony

If you’re struggling to understand why your life is so hard. I pray this post helps you find a little bit of peace in your pain.

I was raised in foster care, been to jail, and I’ve studied at Harvard University. Genesis 45 reveals to me how God is able to draw straight with the crooked lines the make up our lives.

We are all broken people. And our broken natures drive us to make poor decisions and get poor results. As they say, we play stupid games and get stupid prizes. But God doesn’t operate in the way we might think. He uses our every action and inaction to bring us into relationship with Him. And that relationship is the most important one we can have in our lives.

This is not to say you should love your struggles. Life is f***ing hard! If you think sprinking in some positive affirmations and forcing a smile like you’re a living billboard for The Secret will make the struggle enjoyable, you’re sadly mistaken. Pain is pain and it always hurts.

The morale of this message is to buck up buck-o, and understand you’re still alive. And life is worth living–even when it sucks like hell.
